Create a Legacy of Compassion Through Your Will or Trust

A gift in your will or trust is one of the simplest and most flexible ways to make a lasting impact. With just a few sentences in your estate plan, you can create a legacy that reflects your values and helps ensure compassionate care continues for generations.

By including MJHS Foundation in your will or trust, you designate a portion of your estate to support programs that bring comfort, dignity and healing to patients and their families. This type of gift costs you nothing during your lifetime. It allows you to care for your loved ones while ensuring your philanthropic values live on – supporting programs that bring comfort, dignity and healing to those in need.

Ways It Can Be Structured

  • Specific Bequest: Leave a fixed dollar amount or particular asset (such as real estate, stocks, or personal property).
  • Percentage Bequest: Designate a percentage of your estate to ensure your gift remains proportionate to your overall assets.
  • Residual Bequest: After other specific gifts and expenses are distributed, designate all or part of the remainder of your estate to MJHS Foundation.
  • Contingent Bequest: Provide for the MJHS Foundation only if your primary heirs are no longer living.

How It’s Done

Adding a charitable bequest is straightforward:

  • Speak with your attorney or estate planner to include MJHS Foundation in your will or trust.
  • Use our legal name, address and tax ID to ensure your wishes are clearly documented:

  • Decide whether you’d like your gift to be unrestricted (supporting our greatest needs) or designated to a specific program that reflects your values.
