Christian Commemorations

Prayer.Faith. Lasting Remembrance

In the Christian tradition, remembrance is rooted in hope—the promise of eternal life and the reunion that awaits. Memorial prayers and rituals provide opportunities to express gratitude for a loved one’s life and offer comfort through faith.

In line with MJHS’s mission of caring for people of all faiths and backgrounds, MJHS clergy are available to offer prayer and reflection for your loved one. This service is available to all who need it.

Options Include:

  • Prayer Observance: For a $30 gift, clergy will pray for you and your departed loved one, offering spiritual support while honoring their memory.
  • Tribute Prayers: For a $50 gift, clergy will pray for you and your departed loved one and recite scripture passages that offer peace, hope and reflection.
  • Remembrance Devotion: For a $100 gift, clergy will pray for you and your departed loved one and share meaningful scripture. Your loved one will also be remembered in prayer on the one-year anniversary of their passing—honoring their life and reflecting on the legacy they left behind.

The Impact of Your Gift
When you remember your loved one through Christian Commemoration, you help ensure pastoral care continues at MJHS Hospice for patients and their families at the end of life. Your support sustains compassionate spiritual care—offering comfort, prayer, presence, and guidance rooted in faith during life’s most sacred moments, when connection, hope, and dignity matter most.
