Support Dementia Care

At MJHS, we have been caring for the frail and elderly since 1907, so we are keenly aware of the increasing need to provide our community with programs that provide support for families dealing with dementia.

Patient Care Fund

Supported solely by charitable contributions, this fund helps meet the health and quality-of-life needs for MJHS patients and their families. Recipients can use the money to purchase items such as wheelchairs and walkers, pay for heating or electric bills, provide transportation, or pay for other medical needs.

Keys to Dementia Care

For many people with dementia, music can re-open the mind and rejuvenate relationships. By supporting this program, MJHS can continue training its staff on music therapy techniques that result in a higher level of care and stronger bonding between residents, family members and staff.

Bereavement Support

Grief and loss can take serious physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual tolls. By giving to this fund, you are helping MJHS provide bereavement education and support to family members of all ages at no cost to them for a minimum of thirteen months after the death of a loved one.
