Support the Mission of the MJHS Foundation
MJHS Foundation is a philanthropic organization dedicated to supporting a wide range of programs and initiatives focused on improving the lives of patients and families facing advanced illness and other complex medical conditions. From hospice care and palliative medicine to home health care and caregiver support, the Foundation provides funding to MJHS Health System, an organization committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate, and personalized care to patients and their families.
With a deep commitment to optimizing care across all settings and stages of illness, the MJHS Foundation plays a critical role in ensuring that the most vulnerable members of our community receive the care and support they need to live as well as possible.
There are many ways you can give to MJHS. As an individual donor, you can earmark your donation to the program or care that’s most important to you.
Below are a few different care programs you can support through donations to MJHS Foundation.
Patient-Centered Care
Our patient care funds are dedicated to continuing programs that improve the experience and outcomes of the patients in our care. Below are a few funds devoted to our patients, their family and their well-being.
Hospice and Palliative Care Fund — Supports essential programs such as bereavement support, pastoral care, music therapy, caregiver support, and pediatric care.
Social Programs at our Centers — Ensures the continuation of enriching programs at our Menorah and Isabella Centers for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care, such as horticulture and art classes, specialized dementia care therapies, and special celebrations like holiday gatherings.
Home Care — Provides additional home support for patients suffering from an advanced or terminal illness.
Caregiver Support
Providing support for caregivers is often an overlooked but critical part of caring for patients. Unfortunately, the needs of the caregiver and the family and the patient’s needs often result in a gap. Home Health Aide (HHA) services covered by insurance are limited to specific care of the patient and do not consider the caregiver’s need.
We’ve established various caregiver funds to address this need and raise funds so we can help our patients by supporting their family caregivers.
