What MJHS Foundation Supports
MJHS Health System provides a broad spectrum of health care programs and services to the community that are not always covered by insurance. It is our mission to support this endeavor by raising the funds necessary to ensure MJHS can continue to provide care in the community.
There are many ways you can give to MJHS. As an individual donor, you have the opportunity to earmark your donation to the program or kind of care that’s most important to you.
Below are a few different care programs we support through donations to MJHS Foundation.

Support for Patient-Centered Care
Our patient care funds are dedicated to the continuation of programs that improve the experience and outcomes of the patients in our care. Below are a few of the funds that are dedicated to our patients, their family and their well-being.
Hospice and Palliative Care — Supports important programs such as bereavement support, pastoral care, music therapy, caregiver support, and pediatric care.
Making our Residents the Center — Ensures the continuation of enriching programs at our Menorah and Isabella Centers for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care, such as horticulture and art classes, specialized dementia care therapies, and special celebrations like holiday gatherings
Home Care — Provides additional support at home for patients suffering with an advanced or terminal illness.

Support for Caregivers
Providing support for caregivers is often an overlooked, but critical part of caring for patients. Unfortunately the needs of the caregiver and the family, in addition to the needs of the patient often result in a gap. Home Health Aide (HHA) services covered by insurance are limited to specific care of the patient and do not take into account the need of the caregiver.
We’ve established various caregiver funds to address this need and raise funds so we can help our patients, by supporting their family caregivers.
