YOUR GIFT IN ACTION

Spreading Holiday Cheer to our Littlest of Patients

As you are getting ready for the rush of the Holidays and family gatherings  MJHS is gearing up for one of our favorite times… the holiday celebration for our pediatric hospice patients and their families.

What started as a small toy collection ten years ago has now grown into a cherished annual tradition. Our MJHS care team dresses up in costumes, sings holiday songs, and delivers presents to each child from their wish list. Thanks to the generosity of our MJHS Young Leadership Council members and donors, almost 200 toys, games, and art supplies were purchased for our kids last year!

Mae was one of the children who enjoyed these gifts last year. She was one of our youngest patients when she began receiving care from MJHS. Mae’s parents immigrated to the United States. With no family nearby, the holidays were particularly difficult for them. Having gifts delivered to them by a care team member dressed up brought holiday cheer and lifted their spirits. It gave them a feeling of support and love while navigating their daughter’s care.

Holiday Joy and Celebrations

Even though the spring holidays may be a bit different this year, it is still important to find ways to connect with our loved ones. And thanks to generous donations, our team at Menorah was able to make it extra special. Learn More.

Menorah Residents Celebrate

Our summer plans may have changed because of the pandemic. But at MJHS, what hasn’t changed is our commitment to providing engaging therapeutic activities for our Menorah Center residents.

“Every single day I thank MJHS doctors, nurses, social workers, as well as the chaplain and music therapist for their compassion, care and being our life saver.”
